BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

    This Business Relationship Manager position reports directly to the Branch Manager. Responsible for the extension of credit within established bank policies and procedures. Within individual lending limits, officer will review credit applications for multiple purposes including business and commercial real estate, and make appropriate recommendation when above individual lending limits. Position will also be responsible for acquiring and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships located within a specific market area.

  1. JOB FUNCTIONS
    1. Serve as the primary sales and service relationship officer for assigned group of borrowing clients. Be accountable for all product relationships, provide financial counseling, resolving problems and acting as a liaison between bank and customer.
    1. Develop and implement an effective calling program.
    2. Develop and implement relationship strategies for cross-selling bank products and services.
    3. Develop new relationships through referral network and involvement in prospect calling program.
    4. Accept, underwrite and prepare loan requests, working with advice and counsel of Branch Manager, District Credit Manager, Chief Credit Administrator, or Chief Credit Officer. Approve or Decline loans within assigned lending limits.
    5. Maintain and monitor portfolio ensuring high quality.
    6. Assist in the training of other Business Relationship Managers as needed.
    7. Responsible for more complex loans.

    9. Assist Branch Manager with any special projects.

    1. Other duties may be assigned during the course of employment as directed by management. Participate with community organizations and projects.
    2. Complete required compliance training.


    D. SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    1. Four-year college degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or the equivalent.
    2. Direct commercial loan underwriting/approval experience.
    3. At least 8 years related experience in commercial and consumer lending preferred.
    4. Well-developed sales and relationship management skills.
    5. Ability to analyze financial information and tax returns.
    6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    7. PC knowledge using MS Word, Excel, and/or other applicable programs preferred.
